The Coalition provides networking and partnership opportunities for you and your organization and offers access to greater expertise by calling on a wide range of organizations and individuals. The Coalition has the ability to leverage resources and can advocate for change at the state, regional and local levels.
CIC is dedicated to assisting local and statewide communities fight the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases and their effects by raising immunization levels across the lifespan. Governed by a Board of Directors, CIC’s efforts are guided by a strategic plan updated annually and carried out through volunteer committees and work groups.

How does the Coalition operate?
The California Immunization Coalition is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, public-private partnership dedicated to achieving and maintaining full immunization protection for all Californians to prevent disease, disability and death. CIC, as a broadly-based statewide organization, brings coordination, collaboration, technical resources and cross-disciplinary communication to this important health issue.
CIC operates with a Board of Directors and Board Committee structure supported by the CIC staff. The 15 member Board and staff meet monthly via conference call and are guided in their activities and annual work plan by a strategic plan.
CIC is staffed by a full time Director who provides leadership, program coordination and administrative support to the California Immunization Coalition.

When is the next statewide CIC Summit?
We hold our annual summit each Spring, alternating between Northern California and Southern California. Watch for announcements and details in the Vaccine Booster, via e-mail, and on Facebook and Twitter.
Are there membership fees?
California Immunization Coalition is not a membership organization and there are no membership fees. Anyone who has an interest in protecting Californians from vaccine-preventable diseases is invited to join the Coalition.
