About Us

Who We Are

The California Immunization Coalition (CIC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public-private partnership dedicated to achieving and maintaining full immunization protection for all Californians to promote health and prevent serious illness, disability and death.

CIC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and is staffed by a full time Executive Director who provides leadership, program coordination and administrative support.

CIC is funded through public and private grants and donations. Use of funds received by CIC is determined by the CIC Board of Directors and is not influenced by donors or external partners.

Priority Areas

CIC’s efforts are guided by a strategic plan which is carried out through committees and work groups.

    • Encourage community-based advocacy
    • Support California’s local immunization coalitions
    • Provide educational opportunities for health professionals and community stakeholders
    • Promote the use of immunization registries
    • Reduce health disparities and improve access to vaccines

CIC’s annual summit is offered each spring for healthcare professionals, public health advocates, and invited guests. The venue alternates between Northern California and Southern California. Watch for details in the Vaccine Booster, on our website, and on social media.

Program Associate

Kamrynn Saylor is our new Program Associate. Kamrynn joined us in September, hit the ground running, and hasn’t stopped. Since Day 1, she’s been instrumental in launching our redesigned website; planning for the 2020 Summit; and identifying a new office space.  In addition, she seamlessly stepped into our day-to-day administrative tasks, including coordinating numerous Committee and BOD meetings. She also monitors our social media sites. Kamrynn is a graduate of Cal Poly SLO with a degree in Kinesiology. She brings practical skills from her experience as a Patient Service Representative at Sutter Health and her volunteer work with young adults in Uganda, Central Africa. We are delighted to have her on our team. Reach out to her at ksaylor@immunizeca.org
